Staples is waiving the $6.95 purchase fee on $200 Visa gift cards through 1/23 in-store only.

Use your Chase Ink Cash Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent. Office supply stores never charge a fee for retailer gift cards such as Amazon and hundreds more, but these Visa gift cards can be used anywhere!

Buying these gift cards can help you meet the spend threshold to earn the highest ever 75,000 point signup bonus for Ink Cash on top of earning 5 points per dollar spent.

The weekly ad states that there is a limit of 5 per customer per day, though the fee waiver should apply on up to 10 cards per transaction if your store isn’t a stickler for limits.

You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at select grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value while earning 5 points per dollar.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

I got the offer from Amex for 4 additional points per dollar spent at office supplies stores. Would that give me 5 points per dollar on gift cards too?

Charles

Can I go to post office to get money order?
Does it pay??

Delta cc

Can’t use them anywhere
And I don’t give $200 bar Mitzva gift
Good idea though

Dd

Pretty sure that you can add them to your gift card balance on Amazon as well

Mendy

With a 2% increase if you do it right

saul

what is the method to gain 2%?

sholom

You sure can- but if that’s your plan you may as well just buy amazon GC at staples which are always no fee

Delta cc

Can’t use mean can’t liquidate
UTilities or tax has fees
Grocery – hard to manage , log in to see balance left, cards get lost
And small daily expenses don’t track as well as cc bills w annual statement

No liquidation (m o ) killed it for me

Grocery it works excellent. I load the entire thing on to my grocery balance, and when by balance dips below $0, I swipe the next card entirely. Also, I use it to give all my tzedaka contributions. Very easy way of liquidating.

When I buy these gift cards I make sure to use the whole balance at once so there is no tracking needed and no pennies is left behind. I don’t have any issues to liquidate them.

Mendy

How do you liquidate them?

shyh

Just pay anything that cost $200 or what ever amount the GC I do not use a $200 GC to pay let say $49.99 so I do not need to keep track or do not stay with a balance that a store will not want me to pay w cc (below $10 exc).

ray

I have used them for m.o. in acme in bergen county

eddie

Does it need to be “activated” in order to use the pin#? when i tried using a pin (for regular purchase at target) it got declined. did work as credit.

Danny

Thank you so much for posting these fee waived gift cards. I’ve been always buying them with the Ink card. Not sure if Staples have same deal again, but it will be great if you keep posting these gift card deals. You’re deals are amazing, Dan! Thanks
