Staples is offering $5 off $200 Visa gift cards through 4/17 in-store only.

That reduces the card purchsae fee from $6.95 to $1.95 per card.

Use your Chase Ink Cash Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent. Office supply stores never charge a fee for retailer gift cards such as Amazon and hundreds more, but these Visa gift cards can be used anywhere! Read about the current offer to earn 75,000 points on a new Ink Cash card here!

The weekly ad states that there is a limit of 5 per customer per day, though the discount should apply on up to 9 cards per transaction if your store isn’t a stickler for limits.

You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at various stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

Don’t buy! If they see this works they’ll never go back to no fee!

I usually don’t buy unless it’s no fee but I need to pay the roofer this week! At least I can pay in $200 increments! 🙂
OfficeDepot closed down most locations and limits you to 1 transaction of 2 VGC. Hardly worth the trip.

You must be from Brooklyn.. why would you assume we know what local to you is

Enforcing limits is a YMMV and completely arbitrary. You can have other checkout agents and/or branch managers in the same store who just impose, change or remove the limits on a whim.

Is it still worth it?
