My united card always earn bonus points for gas. Would it be a total of 5 points per dollar, or 5 points bonus besides the usual points ?

Sapphire Preferred
Each qualifying gas purchases made with merchants in their gas station app with your Chase credit card from 2/21/2022 through 4/30/2022 will earn 5% in statement credits on up to $200 in total spend, with a max of $10 back.
How do you buy gas through an app?
Many of the major brands have their own apps. I have the BP/Amoco app. You store your card in the app, and when you arrive at a gas station, it detects the location, and asks you to enter the pump #. The pump will unlock after 30 seconds or so, and you can pump your gas. If you need to track receipts, all of them are there in your history, + you can get an email of them as well. Quite handy if you need that.

Can I combine the miles that I have with other Chase cards with this offer?
I got an email for this offer on my United purple card, but when I tried to sign up it said “not valid for this offer”. Is there any number one can call to get it added?
