You don’t. And lastly, you don’t book Basic Economy if you thought that there would’ve been a chance you would change the flight dates. At this point, you’ll have to hope that your original flight is severely delayed/canceled or there is a massive blizzard, prompting free changes for Basic Economy.

Unfortunately I missed the cutoff to cancel, but I paid the $18 for trip protection, and paid with an Amex card. Is there any way to cancel one of my bookings at this point?
