Personally, I was hoping to upgrade my S23 Ultra, though Samsung continues to peel away features I enjoy, so I’m on the fence now.
Previously, Samsung killed off some features that I loved, like having a user-replaceable battery, an IR remote control, magnetic payment via Samsung Pay, and micro-SD storage.
The S24 Ultra downgraded the S23’s 10x optical zoom camera to 5x. And now the S25 Ultra removes Bluetooth from the S Pen, which I enjoy using to trigger my phone’s camera or for air actions.
Those may not be deal breakers, but Samsung’s insistence on killing off unique and beloved features, while failing to innovate and create new features other than AI, is very disappointing. Samsung couldn’t even be bothered to add QI2 wireless charging to the phone without having a separate case.
The S25 phones are getting excellent preliminary reviews from tech sites, but I’m not sure if that’s enough to get me to upgrade, even with all the bonus offers.
Then again, I wouldn’t mind upgrading from 512GB to 1TB storage or getting a fresh battery, so maybe I should just take the plunge? My wife loves her Google Pixel, though I tried the Pixel and the Galaxy Fold a few generations back and wound up sticking with Samsung. Maybe I’ll try the new versions of those phones later this year if I don’t upgrade to the S25.
Will you upgrade to the S25 with these offers?

I have the s23 ultra and tried the s24 ultra for a bit but it was literally the exact same phone. I think you’re better off getting a new battery and staying put. I miss my galaxy s4. It had way cooler features than anything in the last 5 years.
Right, a battery replacement is certainly an option worth looking into.
It seems like Apple and Samsung hardware improvements have reached the end of the line. But why does Samsung keep stripping out useful features?
do you mean to say that apple wont revamp the look on the iphone 17 pro and it will look exactly like the same dimensions as the iphone 16 pro?
I have an S22, and was thinking of upgrading but no sure if it’s worth it, outside of getting a new battery.
Any thoughts?
Same here with an s22, I would do the upgrade only if Verizon has it free with 3 year credits.
The S25 lineup now uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chips, which are miles ahead of Qualcomm’s previous smartphone chips and, after a long time, competitive with Apple’s powerful chipsets.
So it might be worth the upgrade.
My phone hasn’t ever felt slow since the S8. I’m not s gamer but pretty heavy user and I’ve never actually noticed any difference with the new chips. I honestly think it’s just marketing at this point to try to get people to upgrade even though their phone does the exact same thing
How do i do the education discount if my employer has a .org domain instead of .edu?
Well I have the S24 ultra and I am good with it I have the 1TB and love the phone so according to the above I guess I’ll stay put and just keep my S24 ultra what’s the difference between besides AI
Can anyone get the discounts from the links above or u need proof ?
Being that Verizon locks you in for 3 years when doing an upgrade, would it make more sense doing the trade-in through Samsung and getting the unlocked option?
Removing the Bluetooth from the s-pen is insane!!
I went with OnePlus instead of Samsung because you get pretty much the same features but pay way less. Their phones are really solid and powerful and just works great for me.
The thing that really bugs me about Samsung is all the duplicate apps they load onto their phones that just eat up so much space. With the new OnePlus 13, i tend to get a lot more for my money and the phone comes pretty much clean without all that extra stuff.
I still didn’t get rid of my s20 because I like the expandable memory. I really need a new phone already though but I don’t want to get a plus or ultra because they are too big for me!
Who doesn’t Just pay 100$ extra for every 256 gb upgrade in memory
I need a new battery on my s24 ultra. Instead of paying $150 for the new battery I am paying $370 for the upgraded new phone and a pair for buds 3 pros that I should be able to sell for $120, so basically $100 extra for the new phone with faster processor (and it will also be worth more on my next upgrade)
Have s20+ seems not much changed since
