Staples is waiving the $6.95 purchase fee on $200 Mastercard gift cards from 4/21-4/27. This is valid in-store only.
Use your Chase Ink Cash Business Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent.
Or you can use an SimplyCash® Plus Business Credit Card from American Express card to earn 5% cash back.
Some stores may limit you to 1 card, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.
If you buy a $200 Mastercard gift card you’ll earn 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points by charging it to an Ink Cash card. If you use your points at an average value of 2 cents each, then that’s like getting $20 back!
US Bank issued Mastercard gift cards have the PIN number in the package. MetaBank issued Mastercard gift cards use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number. You can use them to buy money orders at various grocery stores and gas stations.
Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.
Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.
Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

I seem to recall reading in the past about security concerns with MC gift cards as opposed to VIsa GCs. Anything to worry about? Have those been resolved?
There were some issues with US Bank Mastercards, but they now have Metabank Mastercards which don’t have those issues.
I guess you don’t earn any points when using the gift card. A slight offset there.
Not when your getting a pre-existing 5% on any spending
Let’s say I was planning to spend $100 on a purchase and for aeguments sake I would earn a 2% value by using my own credit card. Instead, I purchase a MasterCard gift card and earn 5%. Great! However, when I now use that MasterCard gift card to make that aforementioned purchase, I earn 0% on that purchase.
So, in essence, the 5% earning is IN PLACE OF the 2% earning, NOT in ADDITION TO the 2%, resulting in a 3% gain (not 5%).
5 Chase points are worth mich more than 5%.
True. With an opportunity to get 5 Chase Points, it is definitely is worth doing this. But the gist of my point still stands. That whatever the 5 Chase Points are worth to you, you still have to deduct whatever bonus you usually would get on your subsequent purchase now made with the gift card.
When you get a friendly cashier, how do you purchase multiples? Does each gift need to be a separate purchase? Do you ask them kindly to ring up separately? Thanks
Can these MasterCards be used for charges online without first registering them?
When you order MasterCards from Staples.com ONLINE, besides for requiring activation like the Visa cards also do, MasterCards also require registration to charge them over the phone or Internet. (As of six months ago). Without registration, you can only swipe them physically.
Anyone know about these from in-store?
Are there any associated or additional fees for using the card or refilling them?
No usage fees.
You can’t refill them.
Can I use this card and link it to Venmo?
Every store (5 so far) are limiting it to just 1 card. Really cant figure out why they care. Any ideas why they limit it?
