“Today, we are announcing that the Administration will end the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for Federal employees, Federal contractors, and international air travelers at the end of the day on May 11, the same day that the COVID-19 public health emergency ends. Additionally, HHS and DHS announced today that they will start the process to end their vaccination requirements for Head Start educators, CMS-certified healthcare facilities, and certain noncitizens at the land border. In the coming days, further details related to ending these requirements will be provided.”
The US was one of the last remaining countries that required foreign nationals to have proof of vaccination to enter the country.
Does this mean that pandemic era restrictions are finally gone for good?

And Canadians at the northern border? So random. Flying you don’t need and driving you do? Same nonsense when we were allowed to fly in but not drive in. Although they havent really been asking about vax status by land, or accepting a “yes” without actually checking, for many months now.
The white House statement says air travel but the dhs website also includes land border.

I have a friend who’s child was born out of US (he is US citizen). He was working on getting his daughter US citizenship, and the holdup was that his daughter was not vaxxed. Will this still be an issue now?
