DansDeals will receive compensation if you are approved for a credit card via a link in this post. Terms apply to American Express benefits and offers, visit americanexpress.com to learn more.
Update, 5/19: CLEAR is now $189/year and the AMEX Platinum CLEAR statement credit rebate has also gone up to $189 per calendar year.
It’s worth noting that United and Delta non-elite members can still enroll in CLEAR for just $119/year. United and Delta cardholders and mid-tier elite members can enroll in CLEAR for $109/year. Top tier elites get CLEAR for free.
A CLEAR member can add up to 3 adults for just $60 each, so you can join as a Delta or United member, add another adult, and all charges will be reimbursed by AMEX every year. You would also have enough credit to get $10 off another adult. Kids under 18 can accompany their parents for free.
CLEAR is also currently offering a $75 Uber voucher for enrolling.
Update, 4/6: One of the disappointments of last year’s AMEX Consumer Platinum card refresh was the lackluster $20/month credit for digital entertainment categories, which included The New York Times (print and/or digital), Peacock, Audible, and SiriusXM.
That is being rectified with the addition of new categories. As of today, you can now also receive the up to $20 monthly credit on:
- Disney Bundle (includes ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu for $13.99/month)
- Ad-free Disney Bundle (includes ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu with no ads for $19.99/month)
- ESPN+ ($6.99/month)
- Hulu ($6.99/month)
- Hulu ad-free ($12.99/month)
- Disney+ ($7.99/month)
If you haven’t signed up for anything until now, it’s a no brainer to signup for the Disney Bundle for free. That gets you the ever growing Disney+, ESPN+, which includes the excellent ESPN+ premium articles, content library, and live sports streaming, and either ad-supported or ad-free Hulu.
Where will you use your digital entertainment credit?

Welcome bonus
You can earn 100,000 American Express Membership Rewards welcome bonus points for opening an AMEX Consumer Platinum card and spending $6,000 within your first 6 months of card membership.
Annual fee
The Platinum Card has a $695 annual fee, though the welcome bonus and myriad card benefits are worth far more than that.
Terms and restrictions apply, see rates and fees here.
There is a $175 annual fee for up to 3 additional Platinum cardholders and no annual fee for additional Gold cardholders. That’s just $58.33 per card and they get benefits like lounge access and elite status, and more!
Or you can add no-fee Gold cardholders, which don’t get lounge access, but can still get their own free Global Entry/Pre-Check membership!
Welcome bonus terms
You officially won’t get the welcome bonus on this card if you have or have had this card, though readers have reported success after several years.
You can tell if you are eligible for an AMEX welcome bonus by simply applying. If you are not eligible for the bonus you will get a popup notification after clicking to apply for the card. At that point you can decide whether to proceed or cancel the application before it is actually processed.
Card earnings
- 5 points per dollar on up to $500,000 of annual flight purchases.
- 5 points per dollar on hotels booked via AMEXTravel.com
- 1 point per dollar everywhere.
- There are no foreign transaction fees.
Spend Threshold
If you need a little help to meet the threshold, you can pay your federal taxes for a 1.87% fee. If you overpay your taxes you can request a refund or apply it to your next year’s taxes.
My local natural gas company allows me to prepay up to $1,000 on a credit card for a $1.65 flat fee. That’s a great way to earn miles and help meet a spend threshold. My electricity supplier allows me to pay with a credit card for free as long as I am enrolled in autopay.
$189 annual CLEAR credit
Starting today, all Platinum Card members can enroll in CLEAR and get reimbursed for up to $189 in annual charges.
Clear normally costs $189/year, but United and Delta non-elite members can enroll in CLEAR for $119/year. United and Delta cardholders and mid-tier elite members can enroll in CLEAR for $109/year. Top tier elites get CLEAR for free.
A CLEAR member can add up to 3 adults for just $60 each, so you can join as a Delta or United member, add a 2nd adult, and all charges will be reimbursed by AMEX every year.
Kids under 18 can go with their parents for free without a membership or biometrics required.
CLEAR allows you to skip to the front of the line. If you have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the PreCheck line and if you don’t have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the regular line.
You don’t need to take out your ID either, your fingerprint or eye act as your ID.
The dependability that skipping the line gives you is simply amazing. It means I can leave my house 55 minutes before a flight and know that I won’t miss my flight out of CLE. When I’m with my family I’ll leave plenty of time and enjoy the airport lounge, but if I’m solo, the less wasted time in the airport is always a win.
$12.95 monthly Walmart+ credit
Cardmembers now get a $12.95 plus tax monthly credit to cover Walmart+ membership in full.
Walmart+ members receive unlimited free shipping with no order minimum on items shipped by Walmart.com, free delivery from stores, as well as mobile and contactless check-out to make shopping faster.

You can stack this credit with MGM benefits for some truly incredible values!
Eligible bookings must be made before December 31st, 11:59PM Central Time, each calendar year to be eligible for statement credits within that year.
You’ll also earn 5 points per dollar spent.

You can also enroll additional Platinum cardholders for Gold elite status, but that needs to be done over the phone.
Hilton Gold status gets you upgrades, bonus points, 5th night free on awards, late checkout, breakfast, and bottled water. There is a mind-boggling quantity of awesome kosher food there, from dozens of daily hot dishes to hard cheeses, fresh fruits and pastries to fresh squeezed juices and espresso drinks, as well as on-demand dishes like french toast, pancakes, waffles, and eggs.
Marriott Gold status gets you late checkout, more points per dollar spent at Marriott hotels, room upgrades, enhanced in-room WiFi, and a points amenity on stays, even when redeeming points.
Art x Platinum Design
New and existing cardholders can choose an Art x Platinum design by clicking here. Your Platinum card number will remain the same and both cards should remain useable. You may need to open an incognito window to view the options:
You can choose from Platinum x Julie Mehretu:

Centurion lounge access
Originally, Centurion Lounges were designed for free access only for Centurion cardholders. You know them as those black cards that cost a whopping $5,000 per year with a $10,000 initiation fee.
Once the Platinum card started losing airline lounge partners they opened the Centurion lounge up to Platinum cardholders for free as well. Platinum cardholders used to be able to bring a spouse and kids into a Centurion lounge for free, and then later AMEX changed that to 2 guests.
Unfortunately that still hasn’t solved overcrowding in the lounges, and effective 2/1/23 most Platinum cardholders will no longer be able to bring in any free guests. Guests, including kids, will cost $50 each. If you do spend $75,000 on your Platinum account during the prior calendar year you can still bring in free guests. If you spend $75K on your Platinum account in 2023 by March you’ll be able to bring free guests from March 2023 through January 2025.
Alternatively, you can add up to 3 additional cardholders onto an AMEX Consumer Platinum card for $175, or just $58.33 per year per card.
Centurion lounges offer services that vary by location including free spa (massage, facial manicure, or pedicure) services, showers, complimentary food, drinks, cocktails, etc.
The lounges offer varying amenities like premium drinks, showers, and massages. And as they are staffed by AMEX you can even get help with account issues and access the lounge even if you forget your Platinum card.
Currently, there are Centurion Lounges in:
- Charlotte (Intersection of Concourses D & E, mezzanine level)
- Dallas/DFW (Terminal D, near American)
- Denver (Concourse C)
- Houston/IAH (Terminal D, near United)
- Las Vegas (Concourse D, near United)
- Los Angeles (TBIT)
- Miami (Concourse D, near American)
- NYC/JFK (Terminal 4)
- NYC/LGA (Terminal B, near American and United)
- Philadelphia (Terminal A West, near American)
- Phoenix (Terminal 4)
- San Francisco (Terminal 3, near United)
- Seattle (Concourse B)
International locations include:
- Buenos Aires/EZE
- Delhi
- Hong Kong (Terminal 1)
- London
- Melbourne
- Mexico City
- Mumbai
- Monterrey, Mexico
- Sao Paulo/GRU
- Stockholm
- Sydney
- Toluca, Mexico
Future lounges include Atlanta, Newark, Washington DCA, and more.
Priority Pass membership
You can enroll here for a Priority Pass membership.
Primary and additional Platinum cardholders can bring in 2 free guests each.

See the Priority Pass site for their complete list of lounges.
Unfortunately, this membership no longer includes access to Priority Pass Restaurants.
Delta SkyClub
You can access Delta lounges for free with a Platinum card when flying on Delta. You don’t get any free guests, but additional Platinum cardholders can access Delta lounges for free as well.
Select Delta SkyClubs, such as JFK, have complimentary hot kosher meals upon request. Others have kosher snacks upon request as well.
Escape, Plaza Premium, and Airspace lounges
Currently there are US Escape lounges in Cincinnati, Greenville, Hartford, Minneapolis, Oakland, Ontario, Phoenix, Providence, Reno, Sacramento, and West Palm Beach and there is an Airspace lounge in San Diego. Primary and additional Platinum cardholders can bring in 2 free guests each.
There are over 50 Plaza Premium lounges worldwide. Primary and additional Platinum cardholders can bring in 1 free guest each.
Global Entry/Pre-Check Fee Refund For You And Your Additional Cardholders
It costs $85 to apply for a 5 year TSA Pre-Check membership which makes flying pleasant again. Shorter lines, no need to remove your shoes, belt, jacket, or hat. You can keep your laptop and small liquids inside your carry-on. And you go through a good old fashioned metal detector instead of assuming the position in the body scanner. If you charge it on your Platinum card the fee will be refunded.
It costs $100 to apply for a 5 year Global Entry membership which lets you bypass the customs line. If you have Global Entry you also get TSA Pre-Check for free. If you charge it on your Platinum card the fee will be refunded.
You can read more more about the differences in this post.
You can add additional Gold cardholders to your account for free and they will each qualify for a Pre-Check or Global Entry fee refund as well!
My whole family has Global Entry and it sure makes traveling a whole lot easier!
Car Rental Perks
A 4 hour late return fee-free grace period, exclusively discounted pricing, and fee-waived Gold Plus membership at Hertz and National Executive status guarantee upgrades and faster free award rentals.
AMEX Offers and other benefits
- Earn statement credits at stores that you register for in your AMEX account with AMEX Offers.
- Book through Fine Hotels & Resorts and get early check-in, a room upgrade, daily breakfast, Wi-Fi, guaranteed 4pm late checkout, and an additional unique amenity valued at $100.
- Platinum Concierge.
- Preferred Seating Program at select cultural and sporting events.
Premium AMEX Protections And Lost Item Protection
- Cell Phone Protection will reimburse $800 of expenses for a damaged or stolen phone if you paid the previous month’s cell phone bill on your card. Screen cracks are covered under this policy. Small cracks are something typically excluded from other cell phone protections offered by credit cards. A $50 deductible applies and you can make up to 2 claims per 12 month period, per eligible card.
- Trip delay insurance will reimburse expenses due to a flight delay, up to $500 of coverage for 6+ hour delays.
- Trip cancellation and interruption insurance covers trips cancelled or delayed due to weather, terrorism, jury duty, or sudden illness or injury with up to $10,000 of coverage per trip and $20,000 per rolling 12 month period.
- Baggage Insurance covers lost, stolen, or damaged luggage on plane, train, ship, or bus tickets paid for on the card.
- Travel Accident Insurance covers $500,000 per person when traveling.
- If your item, up to $10,000, is lost, stolen, or broken within 90 days you’ll be covered! Many cards offer stolen item protection, but that claim requires a police report to be filed and often has a cap of just $1,000 on other cards.
- If you need to return an item up to $300 and a store won’t take it back due to a time limited or final sale policy, AMEX will refund you thanks to return protection. The vast majority of the time you’ll even be able to keep the item, but if you do need to send it back the return shipping will be free. That’s a far more generous policy than any other bank offers. This benefit is valid for $1,000 of returns per card per calendar year.
- If a store charged a restocking fee to return an item then AMEX will cover it, up to $300/item, as part of their return protection coverage.
- You get extended warranty coverage, double the original manufacturers warranty, and if you have any issue in the extended warranty year they’ll pay to have it fixed or refund your entire purchase price without a hassle. This benefit is far more valuable than warranty benefits offered by other banks.
- If you need to dispute a charge there’s nobody who makes it easier or as pain-free as American Express does. It’s the easiest dispute resolution process in the industry by leaps and bounds and you can do it all online.
- See this post to see just how amazing AMEX benefits can be.

Thanks Dan
I got the Amex Plat through DansDeals this year in April with a 75K bonus. Will they match the 100K bonus for me or not?
Thank you!
AMEX doesn’t match offers.
If I apply for 2 cards from Amex on the same day will they pull my credit twice? I know chase will only pull once does that apply to Amex as well?
Yes, typically one pull as well.
I wish the entertainment credit wouldn’t be so limited. Should have been like the streaming credit from last year which was much more useful. The way it is, that $240 credit is useless to me personally.
Right, I wish it was Hulu and Netflix as before
Would you say this is a better card all around that the Chase Sapphire Reserve?
Very different cards. Sapphire offers more redemption versatility, this offers more benefits.
I think the game changer here is the bonus for shop small spend.
Many private schools are listed as shop small businesses.
If you can maximize this, the bonus points is massive.
What is the small business perk?
Ended last year.
Unless you count getting a discount on things you’d never pay for a good deal, I think they’ve lowered the overall value of the card. Come renewal time I’ll be cancelling if no good retention offer.
Any Difference in the above benefits for business plat cards vs Personal plat?
Yes. See the business post?
If I have a business can I be eligible for the consumer card bonus?
Yes.
Dan do you really think the added benefits justify the increase in fee? I hardly think so
I think CLEAR and the $200 hotel benefit alone should be worth at least $145.
assuming you pay cash for hotels
Even if you those benefits at 60% off face value, that’s more value than the cost increase.
This seems to be better than the chase “deal of the decade”, no?
This costs $695. Sapphire cost $95.
If I prepay a hotel, and receive the bonus, then cancel the reservation a while later, will they claw back?
They may, too soon to know.
Any update on this?
Try and let us know?
I tried and the next day after I cancelled Amex took back the credit of $200 🙁
Problem is that with Amex, they may claw back MUCH later. Like a year+ later. So you may not know for sure for quite a while.
“All of the new benefits apply for existing cardholders effective immediately.” Does that include the 10x points at shop small if I got my card a month ago?
No
Kosher meals in the Delta JFK club? I had no idea!
How do I inform them that I want a meal? How much advance notice is needed? What’s the hashgocha?
Just ask the person by the food. About 5 minutes to warm up the food. Ou glatt
If I’m not eligible for the 100k welcome bonus, will I still get the 10 x points on shop small?
My Saks credit goes to rather expensive, but cool face masks for kids while traveling: https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/private-stock-labs-petite-minions-series-4-ply-10-piece-face-mask-set-0400013482779.html?dwvar_0400013482779_color=WHITE%20MULTI

I currently have the Amex Biz Plat, probably going to change to this one. I don’t anticipate maximizing all the benefits, but what I do use will still outweigh the higher annual fee.
is it possible that the equinox credit will work for the equinox clothing/gift shop?
Try and let us know 🙂
How bad is it if I cancel my card after liquidating my points? I think ill get refunded in full if its within 90 days. Is it better to downgrade?
If you had an Amex platinum card a few years ago, downgraded to the Gold can you upgrade to the platinum and receive the 100k bonus? I had a pop up that showed up with the bonus but it disappeared and I don’t see the offer on my front page either, but I do see it when I look at cards available on my account. Am just worried that if I sign up for the upgrade they won’t give me the 100k after spending $6k. Any ideas?
Does the return protection on the platinum card extend to additional gold card users too?
Hey Dan, made a purchase at Saks off 5th with PayPal, and it charged as SAKSFIFTHAV. Sure enough, I received my $50 Saks credit! Score!! (I should charge you for all my valuable tips) 😉
This is good to know! Has anyone else received credit for Off 5th purchases?
online or in store?
I just tried doing this as well and I got charged under *PAYPAL SAKSOFF5THL. It’s been 10 days since the charge and I haven’t been reimbursed, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
On my Amex gold card I have an upgrade offer for 100,000 mr
I get the dreaded pop up when I try to apply that they won’t give me the bonus. Any recommendations on getting approved with it?
nothing new for AMEX platinum business?
25 monthly credit
Platinum Card Members will receive a $300 statement credit every time they purchase a SoulCycle At-Home Bike, up to 15x per calendar year
300 every time, 15 times a year ? = $4500 ?
Yes, quite confusing.
If you buy 15 bikes, yes.
do you have to activate this offer? or just sign up for walmart+ and pay with amex platinum?
Not sure why you can’t just sign up for the yearly, or in fact you can and get back $13 every month?
No activation needed. Needs to be monthly.
Who foots the bill for something like this? Are AMEX and Walmart splitting it, or is it mostly Walmart to get more people away from Amazon Prime?
Probably some sort of split. I’d guess that it mostly comes from Walmart, but who knows.
I found an offer for 5X points for Walmart purchases on my Platinum card. Only up to 2500 points but probably part of the new partnership.
how many points must be used to pay off AF?
does the $200 airline fee credit from the AMEX BUSINESS PLATINUM also go by calendar year like this one or by membership year?
Calendar.
The soulcycle bike retails for $2500 so not going to be useful for too many people here. Although the walmart+ is a useful perk for many.
on this card u will get 375,000 points after spending 25K correctly. which values at least 4,500 why is this not a wow offer?
Because that’s out of reach for most people and there’s a high annual fee.
i got approved last week and received almost all the points already, thanks dan
I don’t see in your post the 1.5 points per dollar for charges over 5K,Thats why I am using this card for larger purchases
This card does not offer that.
question – do i have to wait for the physical card to arrive or as soon as online account is updated then spending will received the new benefits eg 5x on arilines?
Isn’t that only the Platinum business card?
Delta platinum has all above benefits ?
Dan, is there a way that I can transfer Amex points to emirates?
If the additional with a gold spends at airlines will the primary get the 10x points?
I just signed up for the Platinum…are the Global Entry, Clear, etc. reimbursements per calendar year or membership year? For example, could I sign myself up for Clear in December, get the 2021 $179 credit, and then sign my wife up in January or 2022 and get a 2022 $179 credit?
My gold card received a targeted offer to switch to the platinum. Will AMEX do a credit check if I accept offer?
I called to ask and they said its very possible a credit check will be performed.
I was offered an upgrade from gold business to platinum with 140,000 bonus points with only $10,000 spending threshold. I was promised by the offer that if I applied before January 13th that I would pay the old annual fee. Instead they prorated the old fee until January and then they will charge me the full fee after that. I called AMEX on it but they haven’t done anything to reimburse. Your thoughts?
Sorry. I mean that the old annual fee was prorated until my card’s anniversary date. Then they start charging the new fee in full.
So how do u triple dip – won’t the annual fee kick in next Dec assuming I get approved now and use my 2021/2022 credits, So what are my options other than cancellation if I go with it. Thanks
You have 30 days from the statement close date with an annual fee billed to close a card and get a refund, so that takes you into 2023 if you apply now.
You can also downgrade at anytime for a pro-rated refund.
2 Questions:
1)Can AMEX points like Chase points be redeemed for cash value and what is that redemption rate?
2)The Uber benefit – as someone who lives in Israel I no longer use Uber regularly. Can I add $200 of Uber cash each year and receive the Amex credit so that when I’m in the States or Europe I effectively get free Uber rides?
How come It’s considered 3 years? don’t have to downgrade after only 12 month not 13

The only Amex card I’ve applied for in the past 5 years has been the Business Platinum but when I go to apply for this card they give me a message that Due to the amount of cards I’ve had in the past I will not receive the bonus. The only Amex consumer card I carry is the Blue which ‘ve had since 08… why would this be happening?
@dan any thoughts?
I got this card recently. Do charges for the airline and dell, which amex gives the credit for count towards the spend reqiuirement? How about the annual fee, does it count for spend requirement? thanks in advance
Airline and Dell should count.
Annual fees never count.
@Dan,
1. You mentioned in the post that you may use the annual $200 travel benefit towards United travel bank. Would this work for any other airlines?
2. Do travel bank funds expire?
3. Would this work for an airline gift card as well?
Thanks!

5 years.
@Dan thank you for the response on question #2
What about questions 1 & 3?
NVM, thanks
So no other travel banks work? Delta, JetBlue, etc?
Did I understand correctly you that a consumer a platinum holder can add Gold card authorized users? How does that work?
Yes. Online or over phone.
what are the chances to get this bonus if i downgrade my cuurent amex plt that i opened in nmarch down to gold .. and then apply for this bonus thnaks
@dan you write that one can get $537 Clear reimbursement.
Can you please break down how to maximize it?
Spend 179 before 12/31 2021, spend 179 before 12/31 2022, spend 179 in the first days of January 2023, then cancel.
That much is clear!
But if membership is $179 for 12 months, how/why would I pay for 3 years member within 14 months?
Hi Dan, can i still get this card or is it to late to triple dip?
You can still get it, but you have to hurry. You can ask for the cc numbers right when you’re approved, before you get the actual card.
is the annual fee $695 or $550 ? if I apply today thru your Link for 100K Thanks
695
Can I use the clear credit for my father who flies much mor then me or does it have to be the same name as the cardholder?
So how do we maximize the shop small . No gift card or gas stations as small businesses. Any ideas ?
Schools, all local shopping, some charities and Shuls, Outings, etc
Hi Dan, I’m trying to see if i can get my school as part of the 10% bones for shop small, I got this link
https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/maps?country=US&name=BNOS%20BINA/ATERES%20NECHAMA&mid=4313391792
Can you tell me if ill get the bones?
Yes it is. It has the shop small icon next to it. Perhaps take a screenshot of it, just in case.
Dan, Why is there no market value for this @200 hotel credit?
Cause its only on expensive hotels, which many people are not looking for. It’s also relatively new, and may take time.
If I order this card and spend $25,000 on smart shop small merchants and then cancel because I don’t have use for the benefits, well I still get the 10 x spending? I understand I won’t get the welcome bonus…
keep it for the first year, get the welcome bonus which greatly outweighs the annual fee, then cancel it come the second year.
Dan?
Can anyone weigh in?
I signed up today for Uber Amex credit with my new amex platinum card
How do I get my December uber credit? Don’t see credit in my uber account.
Is the credit only given in the 1st of the month?
Did you enter your card number in the app?
Give it a day.
If I apply today will I have enough time to get 2021 credits or by the time get the card will be to late?
Still time. They overnight the card.
Dan, I just signed up for the AMEX Business Platinum card. Does it make sense to also sign up for the personal one??
Sure!
Dan what I mean is are the additional benefits worth it for the high annual fee for the personal card if the business card has similar offers?
With the signup bonus and triple dip credits, it’s a no-brainer for the first year.
Do they give the December 2021 credits towards purchases ($200 Hotel Credit, $200 Airline Credit, $179 Clear Credit and the $50 Saks Credit) that were made end of December and only posts in the beginning of January 2022? Or does it have to be swiped and posted both no later then December 3, 2021?
It will count as 2021.
Hi does the clear cresit go based on a calendar year meaning if I swipe it before dec 31st then I can swipe again on Jan 1st and get another credit for clear
Yes
can I still take advantage of the 2021 credits or did I miss the boat?
You still can.
thanks untill when?
can I still get it if I apply today?
Is 2 night minimum on hotel collection required to trigger refund or just to take advantage of extra perks?
does anyone know if i can buy saks gift cards to get the credit
also regarding the airline fee credit does anyone know if delta airlines has something similar to united like a travel bank also can you buy a delta gift card and still get the airline fee credit
Is it legal to use this card for business expenses, or for a friend’s business expenses?
Does anyone know if clear only charged me for one year 119 and now I want to add someone for 60 dollars and they already gave me 119 clear credit do you think they will give me 60 credit since I didn’t use 179 on clear yet
The clear rep told me usually the charges have to go through the same day for it to happen automatically, but I’m sure if it doesn’t happen automatically, you can ask Amex to credit it manually…
Does the design of a brave warrior, looking off to battle, in a…. field of FLOWERS (or random colorful projectiles, although the boomerang on his head is a cute note) strike anyone else as funny?
i wish they would offer this card in plain plastic.
Do they have the new design card on the business ones also?
Not showing up options for me only asking if I want to replace my card
Tried incognito?
Setting aside the silliness of this, will the expiration date or CCV change? I understand that the card number itself will not.
I love the art card options! Thanks for the heads up.
The small business bonus is dead
Is this essentially a free AU card? Or they’re going to cancel the old one when you activate the new one?
The old card should still work. But you can always accomplish the same thing on any card by requesting a replacement for a damaged/demagnetized card.
Or you can always add a free Gold AU.
I dont know about you, but i got confused thinking new design was for the biz plat card, but its only the consumer card
Am I the only one seeing a Capital One logo?
? here for like the Clear refund and TSA Precheck if you have 2 cards on 1 account can each card do it and get a refund credit or does it apply for the whole account and only 1 credit will be given??
Does the walmrt+ credit work for any Walmart purchase?
Dan,
I swiped a single $25,000 charge with my new consumer platinum card at a business that had the Shop Small icon on the Amex map. I have not yet seen the x10 points that I am supposed to be getting on Amex Shop Small for up to $25,000 in first 6 months. It’s been quite a bit of time already and I’m wondering if there was some catch to this x10 offer.
They post separately ( as in it won’t say 10x, just a separate transaction with an alphabet soup name that has 225,000 points)
P.s. are you sure you signed up for the 10x offer? Do you have a screen shot?
I see Hulu options there but no mention of Hulu Live. Any idea if that is covered?
“All Hulu purchases made directly through hulu.com are eligible”
The Disney bundle is available for free with the right plan on Verizon so this isn’t much better for many.
Would HBO as an add-on on Hulu work?
are these benefits added if already have the platinum? or only for new sign ups?
Good for new or existing cardholders!
amex website not updated yet ?

I still love my Audible. I just wish it was more Audible credits…
Finally, useful digital credits and perfect timing because my Disney+ subscription just expired. My boys will like ESPN too.
What about CNN+ or Fox Nation?
Any chance they will add it?
I hate to support the wokedisney company
Maybe they’ll cover something at least like wsj?
They’re offering these brands because they’re massively subsidizing the cost. Disney would much rather you pay full price 🙂
Art & Lounge in ewr has been closed for the last year. Priority pass had contracted with Lufthansa for Priority pass but the contract expired yesterday (was there today). There is currently no Priority pass lounge in ewr.
I have a Platinum consumer card for years. Can I apply for a 2nd card, or possible only one such card?
Does the delta skymiles lounge in jfk still have kosher hot food upon request?
@Dan
Had there been a refreshed amex business platinum welcome bonus? I’m getting gauge when is the best time to sign up to take advantage of the highest welcome bonus available for the business plat.
question- is there still a bonus for spending 5,000 in one transaction? Or is that from the days of old and its gone by now?
That’s a business platinum benefit.
Great, thank you- that is what I have 🙂
So Dan, if Amex sent me a 150K welcome bonus, I guess I should take it? I don’t want too many cards, so I’d shut down my Amex Bonvoy Brilliant.
If I have already one Platinum consumer card, can I apply for a 2nd one?
Which would be a better option? Going for an upgrade in my account for 100k, upgrading from my gold card or using dans link and closing my gold card?
Open a new one and then upgrade the gold.
Lol, but will it actually work to get it x2?
Won’t the upgrade be turned down? Or the points not post being that I’m going to have already gotten the 100k from my new application?
It will work.
@dan if I already have Amex platinum biz that i got last year can I take advantage of the credits for hulu etc? I clicked the link here and it is not allowing me to add my card… or do i need to call and request?
No, you have these benefits:
