For a limited time only, you can get 5 free nights at Marriott hotels that cost up to 50K points each when you signup for the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Consumer Card and spend $5,000 in 3 months.
The free nights will be valid for 1 year from the date of issuance, though Marriott will typically extend certificates for an extra year if you ask for it.
You will also be able to add up to 15K points to the certificate to use it at hotels going for up to 65,000 points per night.
Also available with a limited time offer is the no annual fee Marriott Bonvoy Bold Card with 60K points for spending $2,000 in 3 months.
Comparison to previous signup bonus:
The normal signup bonus on the Boundless card is 75K points. The previous limited time offer for this card was for 3 free 50K nights.
Annual fee:
$95
Welcome bonus terms:
You won’t get the welcome bonus on this card if:
- You have an active Chase Marriott consumer Boundless, Bold, or Premier card.
- You got a bonus on a Chase Marriott consumer card in the past 24 months.
- You have or had an active Marriott Bonvoy AMEX Consumer card in the past 30 days.
- You were approved for a Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX card or the Starwood Business/Marriott Bonvoy Business AMEX in the past 90 days
- You received a signup bonus for a Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX or the Marriott Bonvoy Business AMEX card in the past 24 months.
5/24:
Typically, Chase cards are be subject to 5/24 restrictions, meaning that you are not likely to be approved if you have been approved for 5 or more consumer credit cards in the past 24 months. Note that the Chase system automatically counts cards like authorized user cards and store cards as cards that count towards 5/24, but if you explain to Chase that those cards are merely authorized user cards or store cards they can manually approve you for a new card.
However there have been many reports of 5/24 rules being waived for co-brand consumer cards like these.
You can check your credit report for free at the federally authorized annualcreditreport.com to check how many accounts are shows as being open in the past 24 months.

- 2 points per dollar everywhere.
- 3 points per dollar on $6,000 per calendar year of dining, gas stations, and groceries.

- Trip delay reimbursement covers $500/passenger for expenses due to delays of 12+ hours.
- Lost luggage reimbursement covers luggage lost or damaged, up to $3,000/passenger.
Spend threshold:
You’ll need to spend $5,000 within 3 months.
You can pay your federal taxes for a 1.87% fee. If you overpay your taxes you can request a refund or apply it to your next year’s taxes.
My local natural gas company allows me to prepay up to $1,000 on a credit card for a $1.65 flat fee. That’s a great way to earn miles and help meet a spend threshold. My electricity supplier allows me to pay with a credit card for free as long as I am enrolled in autopay.
Airline transfer bonus:
You can transfer increments of 60K Marriott points into 25K airline miles or 27.5K miles with United.
Additionally, airlines often have their own bonuses for hotel point transfers.
Marriott has dozens of valuable airline transfer partners, such as Aegean, Alaska, American, JAL, Qantas, and dozens more!
Miles from these airlines can be very valuable and hard to get from other sources. For example JAL miles allow you to book awards on Emirates, AA, and BA with discounted or no fuel surcharges as well as mileage bargains. Alaska miles opens up bargains on airlines like Cathay Pacific and Qantas with no fuel surcharges and they allow 2 free stopovers on awards.
Premium internet access:
Boundless cardholders get free premium in-room internet at Marriott hotels.
Elite status:
Boundless cardholders get Silver Elite status, which gives 10% bonus points, late checkout, and more.
If you spend $35K/year you will earn Gold elite status, which gives 25% bonus points, late checkout, room upgrades, a points amenity on paid and award stays, and more.
You’ll also get 15 elite night credits for having the card.
You can get 15 elite night credits for having a Marriott consumer card and 15 elite night credits for having a Marriott business card. You can combine those nights with promotional nights to reach higher elite tiers.
You can’t get 2 sets of 15 elite night credits if you only have consumer or only have business cards.
Card Convertibility:
You can convert your Chase Marriott cards between the Marriott Boundless, Marriott Bold, and JPMorgan Ritz-Carlton card. You can see a comparison chart in this post.
Officially you can’t convert until you have had your card for 12 months, but some reps will allow conversions at any time.
Anniversary night:
Boundless cardholders will receive a free night upon every card anniversary valid at hotels that cost up to 35K points. Anniversary nights can be worth several times the annual fee on this card! Anniversary nights expire 12 months after they post to your account.
You will be able to add up to 15K points to certificates, for hotels that go for up to 50K points.
Will you signup for this limited time offer? Where do you use your anniversary nights?

The offer details state:
Your e-certificate may not be combined with cash or other Marriott Bonvoy points when redeeming for your free night, and may not be transferred, extended beyond expiration date, or re-credited for points. Each Free Night Award issued will have an expiration of 12 months.
Is it a typo. @dan
That was the old policy. The ability to add up to 15K points was added a month ago.
Will Marriott update the terms as it states both 50k and 35k certificates can’t have points or cash added to them ?
No idea, but you can definitely add points to these now.
If I am an authorized user on an Amex Bonvoy card, can I get the signup bonus for this ?
Yes
You have or had an active Marriott Bonvoy AMEX Consumer card in the past 30 days.
I currently have the Bonvoy AMEX,which is the legacy SPG Card, Can i still eligible to get the welcome bonus ?
I currently only have the Bonvoy AMEX, which is the legacy SPG card, Can i still eligible to get the welcome bonus ? Thanks
No.
Eligibility for the new cardmember bonus: The bonus is not available to you if you:
are a current cardmember, or were a previous cardmember within the last 30 days, of Marriott Bonvoy® American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express); are a current or previous cardmember of either Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card), and received a new cardmember bonus or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months; or applied and were approved for Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card) within the last 90 days.
If i have a Chase Marriott Premier Plus Business card, am I still eligible?
I was approved. MPPB is not mentioned in any restrictions , only Amex Business is.
Should I cancel existing Marriott credit card and then apply for this card after 30 days? Not sure how long this offer will last…
Similar question. Can I downgrade to the no annual fee card and then apply for this?
Dan, despite the exclamation mark in your headline, you don’t sound too enthused by this offer.
Am I right that the offer is not 250k points that can be transfered out but 5 nights upto 50k each?
With award charts going away, and the way they continually devalue their points, and many hotels with ‘Peak’ rates moving above the 50k, is it even worth it?
I’m thinking it may only be worth it if you add 15k to each certificate. Which would mean you need to have an additional 75k in your account for the 5 certificates
Wow, just signed up last week for the 3 award nights after 3,000.is there anyway they’ll give me the new offer?
Does anybody see the 5 certificates offer as a referral offer? I only see the old 3 nights certificate on chase still
Thanks!
Will you be able to use these points for Marriott homes and villas?
So they got rid of the 75K and it’s that give you two free nights that have to be used in a year? Is this any good?
5 nights, not 2.
It’s excellent.
can you combine 3 certificates of 35k each to move up to a higher category hotel? and can you use 3 certificates for 3 consecutive nights?
No. You can add up to 15K points per night, but that’s it.
Sure.
can i sell these points or give it to a freind?
Wow, just signed up last week for the 3 award nights after 3,000.is there anyway they’ll give me the new offer?
Same problem. Any luck with this anyone?
Any update?
Yet another good thing about holding the Ritz card; not in exclusion language.
I just applied for the Marriott Bonvoy Bold card but didn’t activate it yet. Would I be able to get this card with the bonus instead?
@Dan.
Just got a email offer from Marriot for 20% off e-gift cards.
Great way to combine with the Amex $300 offer
What hotels are the best uses for the free nights in NYC or in Miami area?
sounds like the 30 day wait period is only if you have an amex card, but if you have a visa, there is no waiting period.
am i reading this correctly?
Any way for others to use my free nights??
Will I be eligible for this offer if my I’m a cardholder on my husbands boundless account and he has this card and received this same signup bonus? Also would it make a difference whether or not I put in his bonvoy account when I fill out the application?
Could the signup bonus also be used to book Marriott vacation home rentals?
If I have the amex personal and business that give nights. Can I also combine with this card for the nights?
Is there a way to add 20k points per night to 70k total?
Just passed the 5,000 threshold
How long will it take to get the certificates posted to my account ?
Thanks
If I have the old Amex SPG business card, would this card give me additional 15 credit nights? (post only mention the Chase Marriott business card)
Also, would I Earn en extra elite night credit for the initial $5,000 bonus spent?:)
Has anyone had luck using the 5 free 50K nights in Sheraton Tel Aviv?
Booking multiple free nights sequentially doesn’t seem to be easy online, if it’s even possible at all. Have you had success with this?
