DansDeals will receive compensation if you are approved for a credit card via a link in this post. Terms apply to American Express benefits and offers, visit americanexpress.com to learn more.
Update: CLEAR is now $189/year and the AMEX Business Platinum CLEAR statement credit rebate has also gone up to $189 per calendar year.
It’s worth noting that United and Delta non-elite members can still enroll in CLEAR for just $119/year. United and Delta cardholders and mid-tier elite members can enroll in CLEAR for $109/year. Top tier elites get CLEAR for free.
A CLEAR member can add up to 3 adults for just $60 each, so you can join as a Delta or United member, add another adult, and all charges will be reimbursed by AMEX every year. You would also have enough credit to get $10 off another adult. Kids under 18 can accompany their parents for free.
CLEAR is also currently offering a $75 Uber voucher for enrolling.

0% APR:
With this offer you’ll pay 0% intro APR on purchases eligible for Pay Over Time, for the first 12 months from the date of account opening.
Spend Threshold:
You can pay your federal taxes or tax estimates for a 1.96% fee. You’ll earn 1.5 points per dollar on $5,000+ purchases, which are worth more than that fee, plus it can help you meet the spend threshold. AMEX payments over $100,000 cost 1.9%. If you do overestimate your taxes, you can request a refund or apply it to your next year’s taxes.
My local natural gas company allows me to prepay up to $1,000 on a credit card for a $1.65 flat fee. That’s a great way to earn miles and help meet a spend threshold. My electricity supplier allows me to pay with a credit card for free as long as I am enrolled in autopay.
Here are more ways to help meet the spend threshold.
New: $400 (Or More) Annual Dell credit:
You can register here for $200 cash back at Dell.com every January-June and $200 cash back every July-December. That’s up from $100 cash back from Dell semi-annually.
If you already spent $100 since July, you’ll now have another $100 to spend by December.
AMEX Business cards also have an AMEX Offer available for 10% off all purchases Dell through 8/1/22, with up to $1,500 in total statement credits. It stacks with the $200 cash back offer, so if you buy a new computer monitor for $222 you’ll get back $200 and $22, meaning your total cost will be $0!
Dell allows you to split a charge among 3 credit cards at checkout. If you have multiple Business Platinum cards that means you can get a $200 credit on each one by splitting the charge among multiple cards.
You can find Dell deals that we have posted here.
New: $120 Annual Wireless credit:
You can register here for $10 cash back on your wireless bill every month! Plus don’t forget that this card now comes with cell phone protection when you pay your bill with this card!

New: $189 annual CLEAR credit
Platinum Card members can enroll in CLEAR and get reimbursed for up to $189 in annual charges. Registration is not required.
Clear normally costs $189/year, but United and Delta non-elite members can enroll in CLEAR for $119/year. United and Delta cardholders and mid-tier elite members can enroll in CLEAR for $109/year. Top tier elites get CLEAR for free.
A CLEAR member can add up to 3 adults for just $60 each, so you can join as a Delta or United member, add a 2nd adult, and all charges will be reimbursed by AMEX every year.
Kids under 18 can go with their parents for free without a membership or biometrics required.
CLEAR allows you to skip to the front of the line. If you have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the PreCheck line and if you don’t have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the regular line.
You don’t need to take out your ID either, your fingerprint or eye act as your ID.
The dependability that skipping the line gives you is simply amazing. It means I can leave my house 55 minutes before a flight and know that I won’t miss my flight out of CLE. When I’m with my family I’ll leave plenty of time and enjoy the airport lounge, but if I’m solo, the less wasted time in the airport is always a win.
$200 annual airline fee credit:
Every calendar year, you can get a $200 credit for airline fees. That means you’ll get back $400 in fees during your first cardmembership year with $200 back in 2021 and $200 back in 2022.
You can register for an airline here.
You can read this post to see what currently works for airline fee credits.
Creating a killer combo with Blue Business Plus:
If you have The Blue Business℠ Plus Credit Card from American Express you’ll earn 2 points per dollar everywhere on up to $50K in annual spending.
If you also have a Business Platinum card that means you’ll earn a minimum of 3.08% back towards travel everywhere thanks to Hybrid points!
Hybrid Points And Points Rebate:
The Business Platinum card allows you to choose whether to redeem points for paid travel or to transfer points into airline miles when tickets are expensive. That’s a powerful tool that shields you from program devaluations.
AMEX transfer partners include:
- Air Canada Aeroplan (Star Alliance) 1:1 instant transfer.
- ANA (Star Alliance) 1:1 transfer.
- Avianca Lifemiles (Star Alliance) 1:1 instant transfer.
- Singapore (Star Alliance) 1:1 transfer.
- AeroMexico (Skyteam) 1:1.6 transfer.
- Air France/KLM Flying Blue (Skyteam) 1:1 instant transfer.
- Alitalia (Skyteam) 1:1 instant transfer.
- Delta (Skyteam) 1:1 instant transfer.
- Aer Lingus (OneWorld) 1:1 instant transfer.
- British Airways (OneWorld) 1:1 instant transfer
- Cathay Pacific Asia Miles (OneWorld) 1:1 instant transfer.
- Iberia (OneWorld) 1:1 instant transfer
- Qantas (OneWorld) 1:1 instant transfer
- Emirates 1:1 instant transfer
- Etihad 1:1 instant transfer
- Hawaiian 1:1 instant transfer
- JetBlue 1:0.8 instant transfer
- Virgin Atlantic 1:1 instant transfer
- Choice Hotels 1:1 instant transfer
- Hilton 1:2 instant transfer
- Marriott 1:1 instant transfer
Mileage transfers can often make sense for one-way, last-minute, or premium class travel. The value with airline miles can be under a cent each if used poorly, but properly used the points can be worth 5 cents, 10 cents, 15 cents, or even more per point, the sky is the limit.
For example I love using 6.5K miles transferred to Avianca to book a last minute $459 ticket on United, thanks to Avianca’s amazing short-haul redemption award chart.
There are also often bonus offers for transfers from AMEX to airlines.
Otherwise you can choose to use them for paid tickets when tickets are less expensive at 1.54 cents (or higher) value per point.
That’s because Business Platinum cardholders get a 35% points rebate for award redemptions on paid tickets on the airline that you chose for your $200 fee credit in coach. You can chat with AMEX online to change your airline selection. You’ll also get a 35% points rebate on all airlines in business and first class. You can book these tickets on AMEXTravel.com. If you want to redeem for travel on Southwest then you’ll need to call AMEX to book.
In other words if you want to book a $250 flight you’ll use 25,000 points, but AMEX will give you a 35% rebate, so you’ll get back 8,750 points in coach on the airline of your choice or in business/first class on all airlines, making the net cost just 16,250 points and earning you a value of 1.54 cents per point. When you use points for paid tickets you don’t pay any taxes and you still earn miles for the flight!
Plus the rebate is stackable with discounted AMEX Insider fares that can be excellent deals. For example a $350 flight can be discounted to just 25K points, meaning you’ll still pay just 16,250 points, a value of 2.15 cents per point!
You can get up to 1,000,000 rebated points per year per account.
This hybrid redemption ability makes your points very valuable as they can be used for mileage transfers or paid flights, whichever provides more value for the flights you want to book.
Gold elite status with 2 hotel chains:
The Platinum card offers Hilton Gold and Marriott Gold elite status.
- You can enroll online here for Hilton Gold status.
- You can enroll online here for Marriott Gold status.
You can also enroll additional Platinum cardholders for Gold elite status, but that needs to be done over the phone.
Hilton Gold status gets you upgrades, bonus points, 5th night free on awards, late checkout, breakfast, and bottled water. Free breakfast doesn’t usually do much for me as a kosher traveler, but at the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem the fantastic daily kosher breakfast is free for Hilton Gold members. There is a mind-boggling quantity of awesome kosher food there, from dozens of daily hot dishes to hard cheeses, fresh fruits and pastries to fresh squeezed juices and espresso drinks, as well as on-demand dishes like french toast, pancakes, waffles, and eggs.
Marriott Gold status gets you late checkout, more points per dollar spent at Marriott hotels, room upgrades, enhanced in-room WiFi, and a points amenity on stays, even when redeeming points.
Centurion lounge access:
Originally, Centurion Lounges were designed for free access only for Centurion cardholders. You know them as those black cards that cost a whopping $5,000 per year with a $10,000 initiation fee.
Once the Platinum card started losing airline lounge partners they opened the Centurion lounge up to Platinum cardholders for free as well. Platinum cardholders used to be able to bring a spouse and kids into a Centurion lounge for free, and then later AMEX changed that to 2 guests.
Note that effective 2/1/23 those cards won’t come with free guests. It will cost $50 to guest in adults or $30 for kids. If you do spend $75,000 on your Platinum account during the prior calendar year you can still bring in free guests. In other words, if you spend $75K on your Platinum account in 2023 by March you’ll be able to bring free guests from March 2023 through January 2025.
Alternatively, you can add additional cardholders who will be able to access the lounges.
Centurion lounges offer services that vary by location including free spa (massage, facial manicure, or pedicure) services, showers, complimentary food, drinks, cocktails, etc.
The lounges offer varying amenities like premium drinks, showers, and massages. And as they are staffed by AMEX you can even get help with account issues and access the lounge even if you forget your Platinum card.
Currently, there are Centurion Lounges in:
- Charlotte (Intersection of Concourses D & E, mezzanine level)
- Dallas/DFW (Terminal D, near American)
- Denver (Concourse C)
- Houston/IAH (Terminal D, near United)
- Las Vegas (Concourse D, near United)
- Los Angeles (TBIT)
- Miami (Concourse D, near American)
- NYC/JFK (Terminal 4)
- NYC/LGA (Terminal B, near American and United)
- Philadelphia (Terminal A West, near American)
- Phoenix (Terminal 4)
- San Francisco (Terminal 3, near United)
- Seattle (Concourse B)
International AMEX lounge locations include:
- Buenos Aires/EZE
- Delhi
- Hong Kong (Terminal 1)
- London
- Melbourne
- Mexico City
- Mumbai
- Monterrey, Mexico
- Sao Paulo/GRU
- Stockholm
- Sydney
- Toluca, Mexico
Centurion lounges opening in the future include Atlanta, Newark, and Washington/DCA.
Priority Pass membership:
You can enroll here for a Priority Pass membership.
Primary and additional Platinum cardholders can bring in 2 free guests each.
See the Priority Pass site for their complete list of lounges.
Unfortunately, this membership no longer includes access to Priority Pass Restaurants.
Delta SkyClub:
You can access Delta lounges for free with a Platinum card when flying on Delta. You don’t get any free guests, but additional Platinum cardholders can access Delta lounges for free as well.
Select Delta SkyClubs, such as JFK, have complimentary hot kosher meals upon request. Others have kosher snacks upon request as well.
Lufthansa, Escape, Plaza Premium, and Airspace lounges
You can search for lounges here.
Currently there are US Escape lounges in Cincinnati, Greenville, Hartford, Minneapolis, Oakland, Ontario, Phoenix, Providence, Reno, Sacramento, and West Palm Beach and there is an Airspace lounge in San Diego. Primary and additional Platinum cardholders can bring in 2 free guests each.
There are over 50 Plaza Premium lounges worldwide. Primary and additional Platinum cardholders can bring in 1 free guest each.
You can also access Lufthansa lounges when flying Lufthansa as found here. No free guests are included, thought additional user cards can access lounges.
Global Entry/Pre-Check Fee Refund For You And Your Additional Cardholders:
It costs $85 to apply for a 5 year TSA Pre-Check membership which makes flying pleasant again. Shorter lines, no need to remove your shoes, belt, jacket, or hat. You can keep your laptop and small liquids inside your carry-on. And you go through a good old fashioned metal detector instead of assuming the position in the body scanner. If you charge it on your Platinum card the fee will be refunded.
It costs $100 to apply for a 5 year Global Entry membership which lets you bypass the customs line. If you have Global Entry you also get TSA Pre-Check for free. If you charge it on your Platinum card the fee will be refunded.
You can read more more about the differences in this post.
You can add additional Green cardholders to your account for free and they will each qualify for a Pre-Check or Global Entry fee refund as well!
My whole family has Global Entry and it sure makes traveling a whole lot easier!
Car Rental Perks:
A 4 hour late return fee-free grace period, exclusively discounted pricing, and fee-waived Gold Plus membership at Hertz and National Executive status guarantee upgrades and faster free award rentals.
AMEX Offers and other benefits:
- Earn statement credits at stores that you register for in your AMEX account with AMEX Offers.
- Book through Fine Hotels & Resorts and get early check-in, a room upgrade, daily breakfast, Wi-Fi, guaranteed 4pm late checkout, and an additional unique amenity valued at $100.
- Business Platinum Concierge.
- Preferred Seating Program at select cultural and sporting events.
Premium AMEX Protections And Lost Item Protection:
- Cell Phone Protection will reimburse $800 of expenses for a damaged or stolen phone if you paid the previous month’s cell phone bill on your card. Screen cracks are covered under this policy. Small cracks are something typically excluded from other cell phone protections offered by credit cards. A $50 deductible applies and you can make up to 2 claims per 12 month period, per eligible card.
- Trip delay insurance will reimburse expenses due to a flight delay, up to $500 of coverage for 6+ hour delays.
- Trip cancellation and interruption insurance covers trips cancelled or delayed due to weather, terrorism, jury duty, or sudden illness or injury with up to $10,000 of coverage per trip and $20,000 per rolling 12 month period.
- Baggage Insurance covers lost, stolen, or damaged luggage on plain, train, ship, or bus tickets paid for on the card.
- If your item, up to $10,000, is lost, stolen, or broken within 90 days you’ll be covered! Many cards offer stolen item protection, but that claim requires a police report to be filed and often has a cap of just $1,000 on other cards.
- If you need to return an item up to $300 and a store won’t take it back due to a time limited or final sale policy, AMEX will refund you thanks to return protection. The vast majority of the time you’ll even be able to keep the item, but if you do need to send it back the return shipping will be free. That’s a far more generous policy than any other bank offers. This benefit is valid for $1,000 of returns per card per calendar year.
- If a store charged a restocking fee to return an item then AMEX will cover it, up to $300/item, as part of their return protection coverage.
- You get up to 2 additional years of warranty coverage, double the original manufacturers warranty, and if you have any issue in the extended warranty year they’ll pay to have it fixed or refund your entire purchase price without a hassle. This benefit is far more valuable than warranty benefits offered by other banks.
- If you need to dispute a charge there’s nobody who makes it easier or as pain-free as American Express does. It’s the easiest dispute resolution process in the industry by leaps and bounds and you can do it all online.
- See this post to see just how amazing AMEX benefits can be.
Business vs Consumer card:
AMEX business cards don’t appear on your credit report. That’s good for several reasons.
First of all they won’t count against your 5/24 count for opening new Chase cards. Only cards on your report that have been opened within the past 24 months count for that.
Second, when you spend money on personal cards your credit score will be hurt even if you pay your bill on time. A whopping 30% of your credit score is based on credit utilization. You can pay off your card bill before your statement is generated to avoid that, but that takes effort and laying out money well before you have to. Additionally it’s good to have the statement close with a couple dollars to show the card is active and being paid every month. On an AMEX business card it’s just not reported, so you can wait until the money is due without it having a negative effect on your score.
Third, if you close a business card it won’t ever have an effect on your score.
You may already have a business that needs a card to keep track of expenses. For example if your name is Joe Smith and you sell items online, or if you have any other side business and want a credit card to better keep track of business expenditures you can open a business credit card for “Joe Smith” as the business. You don’t need to file any messy government paperwork to be allowed to do that. Just be sure to select “Sole Proprietorship” as the business type and just use your social security number in the Tax Identification Number field

When did the dell credit go up to $200 from $100 per half year?
These benefits go into effect today!
is best buy a a electronic goods retailer ?
Confirmed with AMEX, yes.
I’m finally lucky with something regarding annual fees! My renewal last year was Jan 8th, 2021 so I assume it’ll renew again on Jan 8, 2022.
Correct, congrats!
it told me I am not eligible because I have the blue or had it before I did have amex business I cancelled about 2-3 years ago
Is this worth it for the simple folks who wouldnt normally use / spend on most benefits?
Which benefits will you use?
I would use Dell, clear, wireless and airline.
But I prob wouldn’t spend on Dell or clear if I didn’t have the card..
So put a discount on those items to calculate what they’re worth to you.
How much would you be willing to spend to get the Dell credit, CLEAR, Centurion lounge access, etc.
Will the Adobe benefit work for programs like Adobe photoshop or Lightroom?
They are part of creative cloud.
The Adobe credit only applies to some pretty expensive business plans. The $150 will not cover a full year of anything.
If I used my 100$ at dell on 07-01
I can use another 100 now or 200 or nothing until January 2022?
I’d guess another $100 now, but I’ll reach out to confirm.
Confirmed, you will have another $100 now.
Does regular Adobe cloud purchase code the same way as Adobe creative Cloud for Teams?
Register and let us know if you try!
2 New benefits you left out:
SoulCycle At-Home Bike Credit
Basic Card Members and Additional Card Members on your Card Account are eligible to receive a $300 statement credit when using
their Card to make a single purchase of a SoulCycle At-Home Bike
Walmart+ Monthly Membership Credit
You can receive a statement credit for the Walmart+ monthly membership fee ($12.95 + applicable taxes) when you use your Card to
pay for your Walmart+ monthly membership.

Nope, you’re mixing up your cards.
That’s on the consumer card:
https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/refreshed-amex-platinum-card-benefits-offering-1400-value-100000-welcome-bonus-points-plus-250000-points-shop-small-dining/
Was waiting for this response,
However it is on my Business Platinum statement, in the IMPORTANT NOTICES
Section.
Can’t explain that, but it’s not correct.
Dan, this is quite weird. I just checked my October Business Platinum statement (the pdf that is generated online in real-time), and it also has those two benefits listed in “Important Notices” under the heading “We Added New Benefits to Your Account”. I DO NOT have a Personal Platinum right now, so it seems an odd error for Amex.
Same with my business platinum
I guess this card does not offer car rental CDW insurance coverage, correct?
AMEX cards only offer secondary coverage, but you can opt into primary coverage for $20/rental.
$20 per rental? Even if the rental is 30 days? That’s a really good deal (for those who don’t have other cards that provide primary coverage, like the CSR).
Is there anything wrong with applying for a business card if I don’t run a business at all?
No hobby? Sell anything on ebay?
https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/amex-business-platinum-card-earn-120000-welcome-bonus-points-now-400-annual-dell-credits-120-wireless-credits-much/#Business_vs_Consumer_card
you could access the same lufthansa lounges that you get for signing up for the miles and mroe card that gives you 2 free lounge passes?
if I want to swipe 400k on the charge card pay over time for zero percent apr for 12 months do I have to pay it back comepletely when 12 months are up or can i pay it back monthly to accrue interest? thank you
Do these benefits, like the dell $200 and the wireless credits apply to current cardholders as well?
“All of the new benefits apply for existing cardholders effective immediately!”
I got the Business Platinum card a few weeks ago, and when I called today I was offered 20,000 bonus points per additional user (on a free green card) who spends $4,000 within 6 months (up to 99 additional users).
I confirmed with Amex that the spending on the additional users also counts towards the signup bonus spend of $15,000 for 120K. So you can get this card, add 4 additional users, spend 4K on each, and earn 80,000 points on top of the signup bonus, effectively turning the 120K bonus into a 200K bonus!
They are also offering 40,000 bonus points for adding a platinum add’l user and spending $4,000 within 6 months, but those add’l users cost.
“They are also offering 40,000 bonus points for adding a platinum add’l user and spending $4,000 within 6 months, but those add’l users cost.”
Wow. Even at a penny per point, 40,000 points are worth $400 … which is more than the fee for a platinum AU.
Correct, but you can get the green card for free and get 20,000 points. So the fee for the platinum additional user only gets you an extra 20,000 points. May be worth it for the other benefits, but not just for the points.
I got the same offer but when I added the AU and called amex to confirm I was getting the bonus, they told me there was no such bonus liked to the AU.
https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/ddfb-question-of-the-day-global-entry-or-tsa-precheck/
This should be updated to include free add’l green card users for business platinum getting their own precheck refund
Dan, can I get the platinum business card while I still have an active platinum consumer account?
And will I get the bonus?
Thanks
Yes and yes.
How long will this bonus promotion last? How much is 120K points worth in dollars?
Unknown.
It can get over $1,800 in flights.
I called a few places that buy miles. They said it’s worth 0.0125 cents a point. That 1,687$
I had this card in 2016 and closed it in 2018. I just sighed up again and called amex 3 separate to make sure I will get the credit and they all said yes. (I called after I opened the card)
If a family member has the platinum card and I add myself as an additional paid cardholder I will receive the same be if it’s as the original cardholder?
I have an Acrobat Pro DC subscription paying $14.99/mo that’s an “annual plan, paid monthly.” I don’t see an option to switch to single annual payment. Will this charge be covered by this new benefit and credited monthly up to $150/year? Because your posts says…”Valid only on purchases of annual prepaid subscriptions”
There is an option at checkout to prepay by the year. You may need to call/email as you’re an existing subscriber. I see it on my end though.
Will they be offering the 120k Bonus for Platinum Consumer cards as well
“Many cards offer stolen item protection, but that claim requires a police report to be filed and often has a cap of just $1,000 on other cards.”
With this card you won’t need to have a police report for a stolen item claim ?
dan! I accepted a retention offer (renewal fee reimbursement ) last month for my amex plat business card. Is it ok to downgrade now and apply for this offer will “i be abusing there system”
thanks
I have $15/month wireless credit with my Delta Amex Plat. Now I will have another $10/month wireless credit with this Amex Biz. Plat. Possible with T-Mobile to split the payment between the two cards to take advantage of both monthly credits?
I had this card about 6 years ago and i just applied and got approved BH, and nothing pupped up before finishing the application, does that mean that i will get the bounce points?
Did you get your answer already?
Did you confirm with Amex that you’re eligible?
I have the same question. I was approved today with no pop-up but I already had the various.
If I just sell a few things on E-bay (for example) as an individual (not as a business) can I sign up for this business credit card?
Can I buy dell gift cards with the dell credit?
Can I buy dell gift cards?
Thanks Dan just approved
how know if my purchases qualify for the “0% intro APR” when using Pay Over Time”?
I opened up my first business almost a year ago but my personal credit isn’t good
Can I apply and still get approved for the business?
Great. I now have 5 business platinum cards. Did anyone ever figure out how to use the wireless credit on Verizon without losing the pay by debit card discount?
Buy $25 gift card on each and apply towards your bill. remainder autopays with debit.
thanks
Do statement credit purchases (Dell, Pre-check, etc) count towards $15k spend threshold?
if i want to triple dip the airline credit and dell credit, can i apply in the 2nd half of November or i would after after 12/1? basically when would the annual fee hits?
Anyone tried to purchase the Individual photography plan (Lightroom + Photoshop) for US$119.88/yr + tax? Or the benefit only works for the Business Cloud team? Dan any thoughts? TIA.
Dan, if you’re able to provide links for the Adobe products that qualify for the credit, that would be great. The fine print is a bit confusing as to what’s eligible. Thanks!
Amex is saying that because i had this card in the past i’m not eligible for the bonus. I see others saying they have multiple such cards and still get the bonus? How? TY!
If I sign up for a new card in December will I get the Dell credit for D2021 of $200 and for 2022 $400?
i need to add 3 users for a total of 4 users does each user get the same benefits such as the dell credits etc.?
Just opened an account with targeted offer of 150k, same spending limit. My personal Platinum fee is due to be charged Jan. Do you recommend keeping both? Thanks.
Just received an email offset for thre consumer card. 125k bonus after 6k spend in 6 months.
I filled out the application, after submitting it said that since I have or had a platinum card, I wan’t get the welcome offer.
My other Business platinum card is on my SSN number, now I applied on my company tax ID number.
Is there a way that I can get the welcome offer?
Hi Dan,
I did apply for this offer and got approved. a few days later a received a targeted offer of 150k for that same card on a different business. can I reapply? or, can I at least ask them to match the new offer on the card I already recieved?
any centurion lounge have hot kosher food?

DAN HELP PLEASE … I just got my Amex Plat Business card through you link. Thanks. Can I use the DELL $200 credit 3 times in 12 months as it is not a calendar year benefit????????
You can.
hey dan, it’s worth noting re Adobe credit, although Amex says it’s applicable toward Creative Cloud for teams or Pro, which is significantly more expensive than an individual account, I can confirm that I have successfully received the credit for a pre-paid annual individual plan
JM, can you post a link to what you were successful purchasing and getting the credit for?
Would it work for photoshop? link:

I bought an annual individual plan for Adobe DC Pro and didn’t receive the credit.
Can I open 2 amex business cards in the same day?
Can’t use dell credit as order are always cancelled. Ymmv, but be warned.
Are you shipping to the billing address?
Try ordering from Dell Home and/or Dell Work.
Yes. Even called in order > received invoice from rep > then completed transaction using their provided link.
Not sure what you mean by home or work, but I did try both ordering from their consumer and business side.
What upsets me is that I have 3 x $200 creditS and have no way to use them.
oy this would be a killer if we cant make use of the Dell $400 annual credit
Used my fil’s card just a few days ago. We live in different states and I got my order just fine.
Wish I could. I’ve had a Bus Plat before. Tried to apply for another bus but get popup window I’m not eligible. P2 hasn’t had this card but Amex pop-up window said he isn’t eligible for the bonus. I don’t know why. Any suggestions appreciated.
If I’m pre-approved to apply for the Business Gold card, am I technically pre-approved for this card also? Or doesn’t work that way?
There’s no such thing as pre-approved. But you should have good approval odds for either.
Dan how can I justify applying for this card i dont shop at Dell, I would not on my own pay for CLEAR, INDEED, ADOBE etc.. So i am paying $595 for 120,000 points still worth it if I dont travel?
$120 cell phone reimbursement.
There are many items you can buy at Dell for $200. I’ve never shopped Dell until I got this platinum card. Bought a new printer and playstation games.
You can get $600 in United credit. And the 120K points can buy $1,850 in flights.
You can also sell the $600 Dell credit on DDF. Plus there’s monthly wireless credit.
Is this a mistake or what $600 Dell credit? The post says 400 In Annual Dell Credits,
Meant to say $800, as per the post update.
Got it,
Thanks for all your continues work.
I just got my card thanks to this post. Dell does not sell gift cards. How can you sell Dell credit on DDF? Thank you.
A little off topic – now that one can receive any specific Amex Offer only once, is there a way to consolidate many different Amex logins to a single one per user (all my cards under one login, my husband’s cards under his own login, son, daughter, etc..)? Thanks
Can u sign up for multiple Amex business cards or chase business cards with a bunch of diff LLC and still get the bonus every time?
@dan Can I Buy a clear gift card to save for later? Clear offers 6 month or 1 year membership in gift card. Will this work for statement credit?
With 0% APR to boot… what a killer offer.
If I’m getting one, would you suggest this or the venture capital one offer?
I don’t particularly fly often or use Dell etc
Can i return my dell purchase that i used amex dell credit for a purchase in Dec and combine with next years credit (ie. Jan credit)?
been looking for a card to use in TLV ben gurion, for when flying non-business.
Anyone have any luck with priority pass there?
It will work there.
safe to do fund united travelbank with the full $200 in one shot, or best to split it?
There is no $200 option, so do 2 x $100.
If I sign up now how can I get my card in time before january
Yes, it will be shipped overnight.
can I still get card today 12-31 and still get triple dip if I don’t receive card until 1-1?
They asked me if I wish to add employee cards, Will I have to give their SSN in order to get the employee card or can I get away with out providing it
Thanks
Data point: They asked for SSN. I explained to them, that it is for a foreign national that comes to USA to help us in our business and they approved it without SSN.
Do you still have to give them the D.O.B.
+1
Great deal Dan! I just signed up through your link. Amex actually offers to give you your number after approval so you can start working on the credits right away!
Hi there,
Are you able to purchase a Delta gift card directly from delta to take advantage of the $200 travel credit for 2021? Thanks!
What’s triple dip? This means I could use credits 2 times in 2023? Once for each annual fee year?
Can you spend 15k on employees cards to count for the offer on the main card?
Will the $200 Dell credit work with PayPal checkout and how long after purchase will the credit apply?
No. I learned from my mistakes
I applied for myself and was instantly approved. When I applied for my wife I got a message that this offer is not available anymore I was then redirected to the main application page of Amex. I assumed that she is not eligible but I got an email stating: We received an application for a new American Express product in your name. The application has been processed and approved. She did not get the regular email that I got. What does this mean could it be that she was approved but is not getting the bonus?
do purchases toward dell credit, airline credit count towards $15k spending requirement?
anybody?
Does Global Entry also credit twice, once for 21′ and again for 22′ or just once per 12 month/sign up?
I think it’s once in four or five years
Can i get the bonus a second time on a different EIN ? (But on the same social)
Does dell allow you to split your purchase and pay it over this month and the next, which with this card would effectively allow you to get $400 off a purchase?
Hi , I have 128,000 amex points with a business card. Now it’s up for renewal and $95 membership fee. I don’t use the card . What do you suggest?
I have the offer to upgrade to business platinum from business gold. I would want to get the all the credits before the year ends. If I use my existing business gold card number, will it post to my platinum account? Or do I need to physically receive the platinum card to start using it?
ANY GOOD CARDS FOR A TRUST?
0% APR:
With this offer you’ll pay 0% intro APR on purchases eligible for Pay Over Time, for the first 12 months from the date of account opening.
how practical is this are most purchases eligible for pay over time?
Just got new card today. Can I charge $120 now for cell phone credit and get it full 2021 years worth of credit or will I only get $10 refunded?
Only $10
There has been word that low-fare JetBlue flights work. However, I just purchased a sub $100 flight (~$73) and it didn’t credit on the card yet. Should this kind of credit post immediately once it clear ‘Pending’ or can it take a few days?
Can i but gift cards with dell, adobe, or any other company and resell?
Hey Dan, I just signed up using your link for the card! Quick question, does adding an AU for $300 entitle them to the same benefits and in addition to the primary card holder?
It gets them Global Entry, lounge access, and elite status benefits.
Okay, so AU’s are not eligible for the dell, wireless any other offers, correct?
Just signed up for clear. They gave me 2 months free. Is that a sly way for them not to allow me to take advantage of the last few days of my 2021 clear credit. Im guessing they won’t charge me untill the end of the 2 month trial which is already 2022.
Signup for an offer without a free trial.
Signed up for discounted CLEAR $109 and added another user for $60. CLEAR charged them separately and AmEx only reimbursed for the $109 it did not credit the $60. Anyone have further experience with this?
Is this the correct way to do it?
Can I cancel?
If I apply today, can I get the card info sent to me so I can take advantage of these credits before the end of the year?
Yes
How? they tell me on the phone I have to wait until the card shows.
I just received an email offer for 160k signup. Unfortunately I got this 2 months ago.
can u share email so we can try to get the offer
how dumb is this: i forgot to select my airline before funding united travelbank (i funded it a bunch of days ago already).
@Dan i chatted with amex and they set my airline to united, is there any chance of making this work now?
Nope, try again.
so i shud return my travelbank funds, and then repurchase them? theres a way to return these funds?
Can’t be returned.
Chalk it up to https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=33898
got it 🙁 not like i lost money though but yeah
thanks, gonna try it again now
can I buy Del gift card and sell it on ebay?
No, but you can buy these:
https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/electronics/dell/save-10-xbox-gift-cards-dell-final-days-business-platinum-credit/
Seems that they are selling on ebay fr more then the value, makes sense? am i missing something?
Hi Dan, If I apply today is is still possible to receive the card in 2021 so I can use the airline and dell credit for the current year?
Yes
I was approved here a week ago, even though i applied 3 + years ago bh, already received the bonus yesterday plus the dell credit airline credit and more!
Congrats!
Do i still have enough time to apply if i do it tonight, or did i miss the boat for a triple dip?
Should still be doable.
Thank you, I got approved and was able to print out my temporary card number to use immediately.
When can this be changed or cancelled in 2023 to avoid the yearly fee?
Thanks so much Dan! Got one and grabbed all the benefits before year-end!
Dan,
If I apply now, I get dell credit in January 2023? It’s still within the first year annual fee?
Yes.
went to United travel bank it said the offer is expired.
Everyone have any advice for her I can use the $200 credits from amexfor this year
Same happened to me anyone know why it says deal expired now?
I read that “You can add additional Green cardholders to your account for free and they will each qualify for a Pre-Check or Global Entry fee refund as well! My whole family has Global Entry and it sure makes traveling a whole lot easier!”
However when I tried registering my kids Green cards but Amex doesn’t allow it to register – as minimum age for card is is 13?
You can use the card to get GE for anyone. Name does not have to match.
Got it thanks.
What are some ideas to meet the large spending threshold?
https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/8-quick-ways-to-help-meet-a-credit-card-signup-spending-requirement-and-land-a-mega-signup-bonus/
Am I eligible if I’m 5/24?
Yes.
Do the (free) green card AUs get the return protection, extended warranty, etc?
Yes
Spoke to a rep and they said the green cards do get these benefits.
Is it okay to pay a family member’s (parent’s) federal tax bill as part of my spending to earn the spend threshold? I know it’s okay with the IRS, just wondering if Amex might take issue with it.
Yes
Is there any benefit to the card if I don’t plan to spend 15k in the next 4 months?
Pay an estimated tax payment?
On the fence. Do you think this or the Venture X is a better deal if looking at it to do one today?… I don’t have much use for the Dell benefit. And still traveling lightly. I have the consumer platinum. Realize venture is a personal card.
Feel like I should do one of the above to meet the spend requirements- not both. Thanks.
Btw – data point. $100 travel bank credit just posted for consumer card purchase three days ago.
Both are great cards. Dell has plenty of good accessories to get, or you can get gift cards, etc.
does anyone have any promo or discount code to purchase adobe at a lower price than $203.88 per year so the amex $150 will cover the service in full…???
Does spending between consumer and business platinum combine for the 75k to bring guests to the lounge?
They don’t even combine spending between 2 business platinum cards under the same name and same business!
@dan
Anyone tried a retention offer if you call them up saying you are considering canceling the card ?
I’ve heard they offer 55k points
This actually seems to be retroactive, I redeemed more then 500K points back last year, and just got a letter from Amex saying they are returning the rest (about 150K) more then the 500K they already redeposited.
In the past they allowed up too 1,000,000 points back for big spenders. Does that now also go up?
This is from the Terms and Conditions in the Email I got Sep 2017
²Limited Time Airline Bonus Points Offer: With the Airline Bonus benefit: if you have $1 million and less than $3 million in eligible spend on your Business Platinum Card in calendar year 2017, you can get up to 1 million bonus points back in 2018, and if you have $3 million or more in eligible spend in 2017, you can get up to 3 million bonus points back in 2018. To be eligible for this offer you must meet the eligible spend thresholds on a Business Platinum Card Account between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.
I just received the sign up bonus points for the second Bus Plat. These times have been quite productive and I think even the 5/24 is on “pause”. Starting August last year I have gotten 4 consumer (BA, Capital, Citi, Aspire) cards and this bus plat. So many points in less than half a year…
If I already had the Amex Platinum card in past, which means I don’t qualify for the sign up bonus (or at least that’s what amex told me), would I be eligible if I sign up through another company like Schwab for example?
is us mobile or tello cell phone service included in the 120 rebate?
