Bookable on eDreams via Google Flights
This is a weird one. Click on random routes and dates on Google Flights, then select a Spirit flight, and the price may drop from the listed calendar price to as low as $1 each way on many dates and routes!
This is sold from eDreams and there’s certainly a possibility that it won’t be honored, or that it’s a promotion to drive traffic and bookings. Don’t book other non-refundable travel until this deal is confirmed to be honored in several days from now.
This fare is valid on many Spirit routes.
Yes, I always say that friends don’t friends fly Spirit. But for this price, I’ll let you decide!
For example:
NYC-Chicago:
NYC-Detroit:
NYC-Fort Lauderdale:
NYC-Orlando:

Even if they paid me, I would not fly Spirit.
Is a Spirit flight even worth $4?
Spirit are such asshats that I am almost certain they will cancel all flights
Real problem is if it is honored… Then you’re on a spirit airlines flight!
Price jumps up when completing purchase
Friends don’t let friends fly Spirit
Not seeing it
I thought friends don’t let friends fly spirit??
It doesn’t show eDreams as part of the booking options on flights.google.com
I rather pay full price and NOT fly with spirit airlines
What happened to “friends don’t let friends fly spirit”? I quote you on that all the time
That changed when Spirit became better than JetBlue with delays and cancelations
What happened to friends don’t let friends fly spirit?
Wouldn’t fly for free with spirit.
Friends don’t let friends fly Spirit, even for free.

There seems to be a problem with the flight you have selected. Please try again or select another flight.
Anyone successfully booked even for one passenger?
Why is this not working how is this possible
@Dan after you
Yes, booking on spirit is a mistake.
booked a flight and it was just cancelled
Ouch. What did it say?
Haha the comments.
I seriously never understood the hate on Sprint. I flew with them with my entire family a handful of times – never had a problem. Flights were more or less on time, luggage arrived, not one issue. On the other hand, I’ve had tons of issues on American, United, Delta flights multiple times. Is this just an anomaly?
Glitch in the matrix
Correct.
Me & my friend flew spirit for the first time (BNA-LGA) our flight was delayed & ultimately canceled. They paid for hotel, food and even gave a small flight credit
Same! I actually prefer them over JetBlue and United. Big Front seat with luggage is often cheaper than middle seat basic economy of JB and UA.
I booked to one way flights for $1.97 & one return flight for about $20.
All flights were confirmved from spirit cs & email.
Nicely done!
so you saved $18 on this massive deal ?
Spirit Flight for just $0.97 !
Sorry, still not woth it.
I flew Spirit from GA to FL several months ago.
They put me, my wife, and both my kids (age 6 & 9) all in separate seats and rows all over the plane.
When I requested to get at least my kids next to us, they said we can happily put you on the next flight.
I had to beg people myself to switch seats with us to make it work.
Never again!
Couple of things: 1. Why didn’t you purchase seats in advance? 2. Based on availability, (unless you pre purchase seats) no airline will guarantee that you are all seated together. If the plane is mostly full with folks who already bought seats, what would you like them to offer for you next time? I think offering you the next flight with no up charge is generous on their part.
I didn’t purchase seats in advance because I don’t mind being seated anywhere on the plane, that is obviously excluding my children who are minors and need parental supervision.
I’ve flowen many times and never had this issue before.
It should be general regulation for all airlines to follow, however somehow it’s only Spirit that managed to make this happen to me.
It does seem like Frontier and Spirit purposefully try to split parties apart while other airlines don’t.
If you’re with kids under 13, file a DOT complaint.
The DOT law is interesting because there are a number of caveats which may make it difficult to argue the case. Since the airline offered the courtesy to seat everyone together on a different flight, it leads me to believe that there was a reasonable limitation to not seat the family together. First, if the ticket was purchased with no vacant connecting seats together (in other words: other passengers already purchased seats), the airline doesn’t have an obligation to seat the family together. Second, the airline doesn’t have to accommodate if there was a smaller aircraft switch (Frontier and Spirit switch aircraft fairly consistently). Third, the DOT only requires the airline to seat one parent next to their children (I wish Spirit was able to initially offer that).
Flew Delta from the US to Europe in BE and had my family scattered over middle seats, including my twin 3 year olds. I Filed a DOT complaint and they responded with some canned not-our-problem response.
Dude, the cheapest seat selection on Spirit is $9. You could have paid for seat selections for 1 adult and 2 children, and the other adult could have sat anywhere.
I have only had good enough experiences on Spirit. I purchased seats and enough luggage and still pay much less than other airlines which are maybe minimally more comfortable than Spirit. Hope I never find out first hand what all the hate on them is about!
Anybody’s tickets being honored?
What do you mean by honored?
I got my flight confirmations from spirit themselves.
CAN THEY STILL CANCEL?
For those bagging on Spirit, I like Spirit. Why?
1) The Big Front Seat is more comfortable and cheaper than flying standard economy on JetBlue, especially when your only option traveling from A to B is a red eye flight, like Lima to FLL.
2) I’ve always arrived alive. They have a great safety record.
3) I’m not paying for food I won’t eat anyway.
4) The airplanes are very clean.
5) The flight attendants overall are very nice.
6) Their flights between Reno and Las Vegas start at $20, and they have 3 flights a day, a route we’ll need to take frequently for the next few years.
7) They no longer nickle-and-dime passengers like they used to – no more $10 fee for not printing out your boarding pass ahead; no more Spirit police weighing and measuring your bags at TSA and pulling you out of the queue.
8) Who needs luxury and comfort when you’re on the plane for less than 4 hours (most of their flights)? Save your splurges (miles or money) for those long flights of 8+ hours.
